December is here!

It’s December, the month of celebrations. When I started this post, I wanted to make sure I mentioned all the holidays that are celebrated this month, but there are so many I’d need a spreadsheet to cover them all. Let’s just say whether Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or another denomination I failed to mention, December is the time of special celebrations for you.

If you’ve ever read my posts, you know I’m not a winter person. But, I want to be positive. We are closer to Spring than we were in September, and celebrating the season gives me hope. So for now, let’s enjoy the season!

December Decorations

All of December is fair game for Holiday decorating, isn’t it? Holiday lights go up, glowing displays light the night, and the decorations are so pretty. I enjoy seeing all of the holiday displays, but especially love the shapes of the bare trees when they’re wrapped up in twinkling lights. Some of my other favorites of the season are a warm fire, a cozy blanket, holiday movies, and time spent with family.

Someday I look forward to celebrating December with Santa in bermuda shorts and Christmas lights on a palm tree, but it won’t happen this year. This year I’m in the Rockies where it’s cold and snowy for the Holidays. We don’t have much snow yet, but I’m sure we’ll be Christmas card perfect by Christmas day.
