It’s May and time for a pretty free printable!

Hello May!

It’s here! May and all the beautiful, burgeoning, blooming beauty that is Spring! Hallelujah!! Can we just have a happy dance for a minute? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if it were always Spring? I know Summer and Fall (and maybe even Winter) lovers would disagree, but just think! Cool and green and full of potential. Yay, I love May! 🙂

For this month’s printable I had an embarrassment of riches. I have a weakness for floral artwork, and watercolor floral artwork just does me in. I love the gentleness it brings to a project and I’m always looking for ways to incorporate pretty floral art into whatever I’m doing. But I hope to keep some variety in the art I use. I don’t want it to be too much of a good thing.

Every season is special

I guess we could wonder the same about Spring. Would we love it so much if it were with us all the time? Wouldn’t we come to expect nonstop greenery, and gorgeous blooming trees and flowers? Would we notice anymore the warm days where the sun shone bright but didn’t burn, followed by cool, crisp evenings? And would our noses even still smell the scent of lilacs and peonies in the air when it wafted by us on a gentle breeze? Probably not. It seems to be human nature to take for granted good things handed to us on a regular basis. I guess the contrast is what makes each season so precious.

Let’s enjoy May while it’s here

It seems the answer then is to enjoy the Spring days. Get outside, go for a walk, take a bike ride and play in the dirt planting and tending to our flowers. I think this year I just want to be truly present and enjoy the season to the fullest.
