Ready for spring

Oh, my goodness! If I were ever ready for the new season, it’s definitely this year. The western U.S. has seen an almost unprecedented amount of snowfall, and in my neck of the woods there’s still snow on the ground. It doesn’t feel like spring at the moment, but no question about it, I am thinking of spring!

All kinds of winter

There’s been more snowfall this year than in the last 20 years, and there have been all kinds of winter storms: a skiff, a dump, a freeze, and a squall. We’ve seen small storms, big storms, short storms, and prolonged storms. And to me, it’s felt cold, harsh, and so very long. If you love the snow, you’d probably prefer to call it a bountiful season. And I get it. It’s no secret we’re in a long term drought. Even with the snowfall, there’s not enough water to sustain the current rate of growth. But this record-breaking winter has had its day, and I’m ready for the new season ahead.

Think Spring!

Now you may already be feeling springtime where you call home. But in my region a little creative visualization is in order. Let’s think about early spring days where the sun shines bright, but winter hides in the shade. Still ahead are days full of blustery winds, just perfect for kite flying. And I’m especially looking forward to those warmer days that hold the scent of rebirth and the promise of beautiful blooms to come. It’s all part of the season ahead, and I hope my pretty printable helps you to also think of Spring!
